I know this is super random. But I’ve been watching youtube videos all night, just going to related ones and watching whatever comes up. I came to this and honestly I just had to share it. I don’t regularly watch this show, so some of you who do may have already seen this. It just moves me like crazy when I see people making huge accomplishments. Especially people who may not have gone for something like that. Or people who were bullied or underprivileged somehow. It makes me ball my eyes out for them and get insane goosebumps. I just feel so proud of these strangers that I know nothing of. Maybe that’s weird, but I don’t care.
It probably took this kid incredible amounts of courage to do this…you can see him shaking! And even after Simon was so rude and disapproving he went through with it.
It’s funny to me how everyone judges him based on his appearance when they walk out onto the stage…yet look at how fucking crazy talented he is. And even more than that, look at what a good heart he has too, when he refuses to drop his partner. Just the way he speaks and his tone and his facial expressions…his niceness just radiates from him. Yet he’s still judged. Why? Because he’s overweight? Because he’s not dressed in some fancy getup?
Anyway, I wanted to share this because I have been judged by my appearance many, many, many times. And I know so many of my followers can relate. There are tons of chubby and shy guys I follow on here who can’t seem to get a break, or find a partner to give them a chance. When the truth is, they are such genuinely kind and interesting people who deserve love and respect. It’s a load of bullshit.
